Choose your wax before you leave home
Wax at home for the days ahead
Look at the days you plan to ski, whether that is next weekend, a midweek trip, or a race meet. Compare morning and afternoon temperatures and watch for warming, cooling, or incoming snow before choosing your wax.
Glide matches forecast-based temperature estimates to Slide Mountain Snowsports’ wax range. Morning uses the overnight low and afternoon uses the daytime high; these are planning estimates, not measured snow temperatures or hourly forecasts. Terrain selections may adjust the recommendation.
Forecasts can change several days ahead. Recheck before preparing your skis. Glide supports your preparation decision; it does not guarantee speed or race results. No account is needed to view recommendations.
Planning a weekend or a team trip?
On Wednesday, look ahead to Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Compare conditions across those days rather than assuming one morning represents the whole trip. Use the forecast’s Coach’s recommendation button to edit a preparation message, including your preferred wax brand, then copy it or open an email draft for friends, athletes, or parents. The included forecast link shows current conditions when opened.
Where does the weather come from?
The live engine retrieves National Weather Service forecasts for the ski-area location and shows the retrieval time and source link. Missing weather is shown as unavailable rather than replaced with sample conditions.
